Wheelchair fitting guide
Use this guide to help determine the correct May Chair for your loved one.

DIRECTIONS: Print this page. Please measure the following with a tape measure, a goniometric scale and record your measurements and call us today! (See illustrations for measuring assistance).

A. Seat Back Height
Sitting upright, measure distance from base of neck to base of spine. Record at right.

B. Seat Depth
Sitting upright, measure distance from back of buttocks to popliteal (underside of the knee). Record at right.

C. Lower Leg Length
Sitting with feet flat on the floor & knees bent 90 degrees, measure from popliteal fold to the floor. Record at right.

D. Seat to Top of Head
Sitting upright, measure distance from top of head to base of spine. Record at right.

E. Range of Motion, Knee
If motion is limited, measure range of motion for both knees. Begin with knee bent a right angle and record degrees of motion to fullest extent. Record at right.

F. Seat Width
Sitting upright on a firm surface, measure width of buttocks. Record at right.

G. Height
Measure height from heal to head. Record at right.

H. Weight
Record weight at night. Record at right.
